Dr Jeffrey Lewis, Professor at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, joins us to discuss the state of arms control with North Korea. In the first part of this episode, he walks us through the current North Korean crisis, the arms control agreement that should govern the crisis, as well as reactions to the crisis, and lessons to learn from it. He concludes that signing a deal with Kim Il Sung was positive nonetheless, because North Korea paused building two additional nuclear reactors. In the second part, Lewis speaks about his career, and the Iraq War.
