ELIAMEP is a private, independent, non-governmental, nonprofit think tank, in Athens, Greece. Its mission is to conduct policy-oriented research and provide policy makers, academics and the public at large with authoritative information and substantiated policy recommendations, to contribute to the development of evidence-based responses to major European and foreign policy challenges.Both at home and abroad, it is recognized as one of the leading think tanks on European and foreign policy affairs in Greece. It has a rich track record in research activities and constantly joins new international projects, aimed at producing evidence-based policy responses to address major challenges of our times. In addition, ELIAMEP disseminates the knowledge it produces, both among relevant stakeholders as well as the wider public, through information and awareness-raising activities, such as publications, international conferences, specialized training seminars, public discussions and lectures, online debates, etc. ELIAMEP’s areas of expertise include European political and economic integration and the future of Europe; transatlantic relations; security and international relations; conflict resolution and prevention; democracy and civic participation; migration and multiculturalism; energy; the media; human rights; climate change and sustainable development; and, regional developments in Greece’s wider neighbourhood, including the Balkans, the Mediterranean and the Middle East, the Black Sea and the Caucasus, with special emphasis on Greek-Turkish relations and Cyprus.
